August Update

Well August has come and gone fairly uneventfully. Our good friend Dustin came to Houston for some work training at the beginning of the month so we went down there a couple of times to visit him. It was really good to see him. He is on his way to Iraq. We hope he will be okay and keep him in our prayers. While we were there the second time we went to the Houston Temple and walked around the grounds. It was a really beautiful day, everything was really green and gorgeous.

  Mid August Russell got called to be the second counselor in the Young Men's Presidency. He is really excited about that and has been enjoying it quite a bit. And then the following week I got called to be the second counselor in the Relief Society Presidency (AHHHH!!!) So far it has been crazy and overwhelming. But I know it is what I am supposed to do and I will have the support I need. 

     Toward the end of the month Kennadee finally completed her potty training. She had  regressed when we moved and it has taken awhile to get her back on track. So she got to go to Gatti-land for her reward. It is like Chuck E. Cheese's but it has way better food and lots of fun games and rides. Kennadee had a blast!!

Russell started teaching this week and has really been enjoying it. He has the Spanish I and Spanish II classes. It is really nice to see him actually be excited to go to work and it has been even better that he comes home happy!! I am so glad that he is finally doing something he enjoys and I hope he continues to love it!!  So that's all for August hopefully September will be great!!

EEK!!!

I know we have all had the experience where we lift up a pile of clothes or towels and a spider comes running out and scares the crap out of us right? Well yesterday I was getting ready to get in the shower and noticed Kennadee's towel was on the floor so I picked it up and out ran a little LIZARD!!!! EEK!! I screamed and it ran after me!! So I ran to the kitchen and grabbed a glass and came back in and put the glass over it so it couldn't run away. Then I hurried and threw some clothes on and grabbed a piece of paper and slid it under the cup. ( I accidently cut off the end of it's tail- oops) I then ran it outside and threw it in the bushes. I debated on taking a picture but I just wanted to get it out of my house!! It was a cute little lizard but it is not okay for it to be in my house!! Here is a picture of what it looked like. Only it was a baby so it was really tiny:

Library Post

So some of you have said that the video in the Library Woes post is not working. I have now reposted it so it should work. Check it out it is hilarious. And if it still doesn't work if ya'll will let me know I would appreciate it!!

Library Woes

Yesterday Russell and I were going to take Kennadee to the library (one of her favorite places in the world next to Chuck E. Cheese's of course!) Anyway Russell and I were puttering around the house getting ready and it was just too much for Kennadee to have to wait for us. She kept asking if it was time to go and we would say in a minute in a minute. Finally she had had enough and decided that she had waited long enough. 

" Mommy" she said " You are taking too long. I want to go to the library so I am just going to go by myself"

"How are you going to get there?" I asked " The library is far far away" 

" I will walk" She said

"That is too long of a walk. You will get very tired" I said

"Well then I will drive myself." she said " I am going to find the keys right now" 

After that I decided that I would turn on the camera and let her go. I had to film in two sections so when the first gets bright and white stop it and click on the second one:
