Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there that read my blog! I have such an awesome hubby and daughter! They spoiled me today! They made breakfast for me and I got to lay in bed all day before church! It was so nice and relaxing! And then after church Russell made me a   fabulous dinner of Cafe Rio style Pork Tacos! My favorite!!

My Mother's Day Loot:
Russell got me Roses and new playing cards
Kennadee made me the traditional hand print poem. She was so excited because we have one from when she was a baby framed on our wall and she said "now we have my baby handprints and my six year old handprints!"
She colored this cup at school and they put a plant in it. She really wants the wands that are in it and keeps asking me when she can have them!

She made me this card at church it's so cute. It says "Hape Mothrs Day to Mome from Kennadee" It's so cute!
She made me this book at school also.
It says My Mom's name is "Mrea Eldige"  My Mom's favorite food is "petsu" (pizza)
My Mom likes to "watr the lon" (water the lawn) I like when my mom "tuks me in" (tucks me in)
My Mom is "33" years old (I'm actually 30) My mom is good at "watring the lon" (watering the lawn) I'm not quite sure what is up with watering the lawn her dad is the one that does that! LOL!
She also made a list of things she appreciates about me but for some reason I can't get it to load right so here it is and I will try to fix it later.

It was all so adorable and I wanted to put it on here so I have record of it for the future! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day like I did!

7th Anniversary

Seven years and one week ago today I made the best decision of my life. I married the man of my dreams! He is such an awesome, sweet, loving, caring man! I could not have asked for a better husband!
Last weekend was our anniversary but since I was at Time Out For Women we celebrated this weekend. Last weekend when I got home from TOFW my house had been cleaned from top to bottom and he had done a "Heart Attack" in our room! It was so sweet! He taped a beautiful poem to my bedroom door and when I opened the door there were hearts everywhere! It was so sweet. They all said things he loved about me on them! I love it!!

For our anniversary date we had Kennadee spend the night at my sister's house and then we went out to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse. Then we went and did some browsing at Ashley furniture and then watched a movie at home. The next day we got sleep in since Kennadee was gone and then we went out to breakfast and did some shopping all by ourselves! That never happens! It was so nice to just have some time just the two of us. I really love my hubby and am so glad that I get to go through this life with him!
Happy Anniversary Russell!!

Time Out For Women

My Sister and my two Nieces and I went to Time Out For Women in San Antonio this weekend. It was the most glorious experience I have had in a long time! We drove down Friday night and had dinner at our friends Ian & Jehn's and then we went to the Conference. Sherry Dew spoke and Dallyn Vail Bayles sang and also spoke. It was really awesome! Sherry Dew spoke about focusing on the finish line of life and not getting distracted by things that aren't ideal. It was amazing!

The next day we had to get up super early because when they scheduled TOFW the city hadn't yet scheduled it's Race for the cure marathon so they ended up being the same day so we had to get to the conference center early before they closed the roads. It was really cool though because the conference center is right on the Riverwalk so we were able to walk around and we went to breakfast and got to visit a bit.     When the conference started we heard from Amanda Dickson she spoke about how we need friendships and making it a priority to maintain them. Then we heard a performance from Jericho Road, Then Emily Watts spoke about mothering and praising good behaviors, and creating simple meaningful traditions. Then we heard from John Hilton III who spoke about not comparing ourselves to others and magnifying our strengths.
After those presenters we went to lunch at the mall. It was so crowded between the 2,000 TOFW ladies and the race for the cure people. We barely had time to get our food and eat it before we had to get back.
After lunch we got to hear from Jericho Road again and then from Matt Baldwin who spoke about teaching our children to be non-conformists when it comes to being out in the world. After him we heard from Jericho Road again and then we heard from Kris Belcher who is a woman who lost her sight about 7 years ago when her boys were 1 & 4 years old. She talked about learning to laugh through your trials and looking for the Lords' polishing that is occurring while you are going through the trial instead of looking back at it after the trial. She was seriously hilarious but I also learned a lot by listening to her.

All in all the weekend was so relaxing and amazing. I have still be struggling quite a bit since my second miscarriage and have been feeling very dark and depressed so this was just the thing I needed to feel uplifted and refreshed. I hope that I will be able to keep these lessons in my heart and use them because it was such a golden opportunity!
Thanks so much Diana & Aaron for providing me with this experience you have no idea how much it means to me!

Kennadee's Zoo Field Trip

On April 28th I got the opportunity to go on Kennadee's field trip to the Austin Zoo with her. It was really fun. Kennadee was kind of nervous riding the bus because she wasn't sure how fast the bus would go and she was nervous to ride without a seatbelt. Luckily since I am a District Employee I was one of the only parents who were allowed to ride the bus so she didn't have to be too scared.
 All ready to go!
When we got to the Zoo we stopped and took a quick class picture. Aren't they so adorable?? Mrs. Schnell asked us to send a white T-shirt for her to tie-dye. They turned out so great!
We finally got in the zoo and the kids got to see the animals!

When we were about to leave a couple of the Mom's bought snow cones for the kiddos to share. It was so nice of them!
Once we got back on the bus Kennadee and her friend Caitlyn wanted to see what they looked like with blue lips. It was so funny!
Kennadee wanted to take a picture of me. It's a little fuzzy because the bus was really bumpy.
