We decided to go to Nauvoo on our way to our Michigan trip this summer and we are so glad we did. It was such an amazing trip! There is so much to see and you can feel the spirit so strongly there.
The first day we arrived it was in the evening and close to closing time. We went to the first Visitor's Center we came to and went inside. We looked around for a little bit and realized that we were in the RLDS Visitor Center. They didn't allow us to take pictures inside but we were able to look at some things that had belonged to Joseph Smith and his family. It was closing time so we had to make it quick and then we headed into town for dinner. While we were in town we came across the Nauvoo Temple. It was so beautiful!! I took lots of pictures. We ate dinner walked around the town and headed back to the hotel for bed. Here are the pictures:
